Estradiol is a female sec hormone which is a form of estrogen. It is necessary for various processes within a woman's body and a lack of it may cause symptoms of menopause to appear. Estradiol is used to decrease or eliminate dryness, burning, and itching within the vaginal area as well as irritation during urination.

Directions for Intake:

• Estradiol is taken orally, as often as indicated in the prescription of your doctor
• Usually taken once a day for a period of 23 consecutive days
• Finish the entire amount that was prescribed even after beginning to feel better
• Take any missed dose as soon as it is remembered. However, do not double the dosage of your medication at any particular assigned time
• In case of overdosing, seek medical attention immediately

Directions for Storage:

• Store this medication in a place away from moist, light and extreme heat
• The appropriate temperature for the storage area is between 59 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit or 15 to 30 degrees Celsius
• Also choose a storage area that is not easily accessible to children

Precautions:

• Consult your doctor before taking Estradiol. Make sure to give your doctor a complete background of your medical history
• Inform your physician of any other prescription or over-the-counter medications that you’re currently taking, especially the following medications: anti-coagulant, thyroid medications, insulin, and tamoxifen
• Inform your physician of any previous or present experience of having high blood pressure, heart problems or diseases, high level of cholesterol and triglycerides, liver and kidney problems or diseases, asthma, migraine, depression, and vaginal irritation and infection
• If you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant, consult your doctor before taking Estradiol
• If you are lactating, it may be harmful to use Estradiol
